Titre: FACC-NY Panel Discussion: The Impact of France’s new “Loi Copé-Zimmermann”

Lieu: AXA Equitable – 1290 Avenue of the Americas

Description: The FACC « Women in Business” (WiB) Group focuses on high-level networking for Women in Business, with particular interest in French-American business development. In addition to encouraging and facilitating senior level connections, and to organizing informative events, our purpose is to provide a solid platform for the enhancement of women’s careers through education, mentoring and broader cross-border roles.

In this context, the WiB Group is organizing a timely breakfast panel on Monday, December 10th at 8:00 AM to address France’s new “Loi Copé-Zimmermann” and its objective to increase the number of women serving as members of Boards of Directors.

Our panel will provide updated information regarding the measures taken by companies to achieve compliance with the “Loi Copé-Zimmermann”, results achieved to date, and a comparison of the French legislation to similar laws enacted in other European countries.

We will also address the issue of the glass ceiling and sociocultural factors that negatively impact the promotion of women at the highest levels, and discuss the pros and cons of quota systems as a means of achieving equal representation of women.

Prior registration and payment required. For additional information, please contact Anne Colley, acolley@faccnyc.org or (212) 867-9064.
